Kirk encounters everything through art. Her how and why of life find expression through varied disciplines of visual art. She has mastered nearly every medium.

This series is especially interesting in how the pieces relate to one another; reaching towards and away. They make a great grouping.

Kirk's studies reach from The California College of Arts and Crafts to the opera in Florence, Italy to the Parsons School of Design. She has worked as a scenic painter for opera and ballet, illustrator, painter, and muralist, assisted art conservators in the restoration of historic Broadway theater murals and has original work on the Golden Theater on 45th Street in New York City.

A real passion for abstract art shows the authority of Kirk's strong representational foundation. Distilling an affinity with Nature and an immersion into the Taos, New Mexico landscape, her latest work reflects a synthesis of disciplines in a series entitled Tapestries of the High Desert inspired by the shadows made from sagebrush.
